Dia de los Muertos Window Display!

Ai Chihuahua! Día de los Muertos is almost upon us! The Mexican tradition is all about remembering friends and family members who have died, and celebrating the time we spent with them.

Red Stripe Clothing has made an elaborate ofrenda style window display featuring hand made sugar skulls, papel picado banners, stacks of flowers, fruit, ornaments, and a bunch of other cool stuff we and our departed love.

It will be on display instore til 9th November, so pop down and check it out - it looks alot better in real life!

See-Saw Exhibition

The Butcher Shop celebrates Open House Perth with See-Saw, a special exhibition featuring a selection of Perth City's favourite artists. The exhibition includes works both in the gallery and on the streets of Northbridge.

Six exhibiting artists have painted a selection of walls throughout the neighbourhood, with See-Saw set to leave its permanent mark. Collect a map from the exhibition to explore.

Zombie March

Join Perth's Zombie March through the streets of Perth's CBD!

Dress up and celebrate all things zombies with Perth's inaugural Zombie March. Held in capital cities across the world, this event raises money for charity. Hundreds of Zombies are expected to march towards the Northbridge Piazza where lots of fun activities are planned.

We have the Ava dress in black, jade green and teal; the Annalise dress with blue embroidered swallows; the Military Pinup dress in black with white detailing; the Retro pencil skirt in black; and the Perfect Pinup bolero - which is sure to be a closet staple.

The ReVamped Vampire Ball

Day of the Dead facepainting will be available for those that choose to keep their inner creature hidden.

The Great Steam Punk Affaire will be appearing with their "Transylvair" airport lounge installation.

Door prizes and awards for best/worst dressed.

Part proceeds from the Revamped Vampire Ball go to No Matter What (The Evie Charitable Association) in support of "Cancer Sucks".

The ReVamped Vampire Ball is part of the City of Perth's Carnival Macabre.

Murder on Roe Window Display

Fashion Merchandising 2012 Students from Curtin University have just dressed our front window for their final Visual Merchandising project, and we're pretty happy with what they did!

Murder on Roe
This scene depicts a housewife, unaware of the murderous death coming to her. As she indecisively tries to put together the perfect outfit, she is suddenly murdered and dismembered in her dressing room.

They came up with their own brief and made their props. Nice going ladies! We hope you get 10/10!

Their display will be up until 22nd October, and features pieces by local labels Baroque & Roll, Martha & Lilly and Suzi Homemaker.

Sugar Skull fever has hit Red Stripe Clothing!!!

We have everything you need (except the sugar) to make your own sugar skulls!
There are 10 different skull moulds, the meringue powder that makes the skulls hard, and the most vibrant food colouring available to make them as crazy and colourful as possible!!

We have a whole new Kitchen section on our website just for them too!

Day of the Dead (or Día de los Muertos in Mexico) is sneaking up on us, so with one month to go now is the time to get making your skulls!
