Some sad news to the Perth music industry occurred this week when Krystal Maynard, guitarist for now Melbourne based Perth bred rockers The Jacknives, was diagnosed with cancer. Krystal is a popular and much loved member of the local music scene so of course we want to help out here in any small way we can....
So, this coming Sunday, May 31st, we are chucking a massive benefit gig in the hope of raising as much cash as possible to provide Krystal and her family with some financial assistance and hopefully eliminate a little bit of needless stress too. This will be taking place at the Hyde Park Hotel back room and will kick off at 2pm- it's a public holiday the next day so all the more reason to come down and help us pull off what promises to be a fantastic day.
The Kill Devil Hills, Schvendes, The Painkillers, The Kuillotines, Capital City, Rocket To Memphis, The Hayley Beth Love Affliction & Bible Bashers are all on board to make this an event not to be missed along with DJs Cutter, Laith Tyranny & Rinnaz plus giveaways & raffles galore courtesy of the fine folk at Planet video, 78 Records, Red Stripe Clothing & Holdfast Tattoo (including 1 particular prize of a custom design appointment with the one & only Suzi Q worth $600!)....
